Another Day

My heart continues to show it’s tired,
by having beats that wish for sleep.

Not the youthful soul in play,
that runs in prance with laughs to stay.

Only watching the sun’s big leap,
that wakes in east and dreams in west.

I feel the depth of holes in chest,
that wait for any chance to flee.

Hope is watching with no face,
there’s no rhyme to emote waste.

Staring lifeless at all life,
helps show me what it’s like.

My soul remains where I will go,
’cause another day, I may not know.
